Old Iron-Sides

After a very long walk we arrived at the port where the USS Constitution (Old Iron-Sides) and the USS Cassini are docked.  The Constitution is quite and impressive ship (12" thick hard oak sides), very well preserved.  However, we arrived too late for a guided tour below deck, so we just wandered around top-side.

You can see the masts on the extreme right side of the photo.

The USS Cassini.

We didn't go onboard, her.  It was late in the day and we wanted to see the Constitution.

The Captain's quarters.  Just forward of this picture a window can be opened and a cannon placed through it!

There's a skylight into this chamber for map reading.
